Archival Mats…

Using only double-thickness (8-ply), museum-quality, acid free, cotton rag matboard for both the front mat and backing, Karen meticulously affixes your print using an acid-free, archival tape (specially formulated not to damage your photographs and guaranteed never to yellow, crack or peel like other sealants).

What’s more, you can feel good about using cotton matboard since cotton, unlike paper, is a rapidly renewable resource, doesn’t destroy trees, and doesn’t require harmful acids to process.

To complete the archiving process, Karen pressure-mounts your matted print into the same black metal frame used by art galleries worldwide, protecting it from fading and discoloration under UV-blocking glass.
